So here’s the basic story: I’ve had health insurance for my whole life, except for these past several months. Unfortunately, for me, I have fell terribly ill in this time. I don’t know where to begin with health insurance, but even worse, I have no money either. I have $750 to my name in my savings account. In the fall, I’ll be a full time student and I’ll have health insurance because of that. But, in the meantime, I need to get some coverage right now for a couple of months. Does this type of thing exist? How much money would it probably cost me (roughly). Will they do a thorough check up on my health before they give the insurance? Please, anything you can tell me about the whole process and anything else would be appreciated. I desperately need insurance, and I need to see a doctor. I’ve become so disheartened and ashamed to be an American with the health care system we have (I know that’s neither here nor there, but I figured I’d get it off my chest). Oh yeah, I am a twenty-one year old male. Please, any help will be appreciated.

My brother is a supplemental insurance salesman and he had my grandma buy 2 policies for myself and wife. We knew nothing about this, until she cancelled and they sent us the bill. He says there is no problem but this doesn’t seem right. This was all done so he could get a promotion and he still got commission off the polcies. If we ever decide to take the insurance oout for ourselves we will now have to pay the whole premium at once instead of monthly. Is this legal

Okay, it sounds to me like these dividends actually purchase another POLICY, rather than adding to the existing policy. Is this correct? Will somebody translate this into a dumbed-down form for me?

I’m 31 years old. I’m about 5′4″ and about 400 pounds. I’ve been overweight my whole life (10 pound baby, 100 pounds at age 8, 300 pounds at age 17, etc). I’ve tried almost every diet I’ve come across and nothing has helped. I’ve been dieting since I was child (first diet was at age 5 with Weight Watchers). I know if I don’t do something soon about my weight I’m going to die soon. I’m out of ideas and surgery seems to be the only option left. I know its very risky and I’m scared to do it, but I’m more scared to not do it and die instead and leave my husband and 2 children wife/motherless.

I don’t have any insurance and I don’t have many money. We are well below the poverty level. I’ve applied for Medicade back in December but still haven’t hear back from them yet and I feel I’m running out of time.

I need help. Any ideas of how I can get this surgery?

If I had pet insurance for him for his whole life, would that have been cheaper?
I was thinking of getting it for my dogs but I can’t seem to work out if it’s necessary.
